We have many favorites including Chatfield and Cherry Creek state parks, Elk Meadows dog park, Devon's dog park and Glendale Farms. Take a look around and try to find your favorite dog park!

Dog Parks In Colorado's Top 3 Dog Parks

#1 Chatfield State Park:
The dog park in Chatfield State Park might be one of Denver's Best park. There are multiple ponds, a river and good paths (Although dogs are not allowed in the river). The downside is it does have an $8 dollar state park entrance fee and a $2 dog park fee but in my opinion it is worth it. The annual cost for the dog park is $20. The park is 69 acres but it still gest crowed often. There also is a special sports dog training area on the south side of the state park (permit only). Chatfield State Park Details

#2 Elk Meadow Off Leash Park:
Operated by Jefferson County Open Space, Elk Meadows Dog Park is located west of Denver in the foothills of Evergreen. This is a great park in the mountains that has nice trails and vast areas for your dog to roam. It's a great dog park to get away from Denver's hot summer days. Elk Meadow Off Leash Park Details

Dog Park Behavior

Behavior

Dogs are like people and have diverse personalities and unfortunately some of these personalities are undesirable. As more and more people bring their dogs to the dog parks we hope that people respect each other and their dogs. To help out, we provide some guidelines in our Dog Park Behavior Section for some good rule of thumb while visiting a dog park. We also realize that fun with your dog should not stop at the dog park therefore we will let you know of some events that are occurring at dog parks in our Dog Parks Events Page.

Dog Park Toys

Toys

Sometimes it is fun to bring toys to the dog park. Although it is not always a good idea based on which dogs are at the park and how likely your dog will be willing to share their toys we try to give a few examples of good dog park toys to have around.
